Women’s Volleyball Drops Pair of Matches in Alfred

ALFRED, N.Y. -- The Keuka College Women's Volleyball dropped both matches of a doubleheader in Alfred, N.Y. The Wolfpack lost to Alfred University in three sets in the opening match. They then lost to Alfred State in the nightcap.

Keuka (4-14, 2-4 NEAC) led Alfred University (2-17, 0-4 E8) in kills in their match. The Wolfpack had 35 as a team while the Saxons only had 31. Lauren Moelbert led Keuka in the match with 10 kills. She also added an ace for 11 total points. Jadine Buddingh and Tally McDonald each added seven kills in the match. Freshman Alyssa Rex got her second double-double of the season with 18 assists and 11 digs. Kate Burke led the Keuka with 14 digs.

In the nightcap, Buddingh had a match-high 12 kills for Keuka. Rachel Elliot finished with six kills in the match. Keuka's best opportunity came in the second set, but Alfred State (16-3) pulled it out 25-23. Emily Cottrell and Kate Burke had 11 digs each in the loss to the Pioneers.

Keuka College will return home next weekend as they host an NEAC Crossover as a part of Green and Gold Weekend. The Wolfpack will face SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Poly on Saturday. They will then face Morrisville State on Sunday.
