BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Visiting Morrisville State College
men's soccer posted a 3-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) road
win Saturday afternoon, topping host Bryn Athyn College in conference
play.
The win boosts the Mustangs to 7-2-1 overall, 6-0 within the NEAC,
while the hosts drop to 6-1 overall, 2-4-1 in conference play.
Morrisville State posted all three tallies in the first half, the
first and eventual game winner on an unassisted tally from senior
captain Danny Peckham (Webster, N.Y.) just five minutes in.
Morrisville State added to their lead in the 23rd minute, as Julian Rodriguez (Bronx, N.Y.) put the ball away off a feed from Chernor Barrie (Bronx, N.Y.).
Accele Rando (Thailand) sealed the win for the Mustangs with an unassisted tally at the 39:06 mark in the first half.
Eric Berglund (Elmira, N.Y.) posted the win in net, turning away one in 74 minutes of action before Cody Gaines (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) closed out the final 16 minutes.
The Mustangs return to the field Sunday, playing host Penn St. Abington at noon.
