Annie Get Your Gun – Irving Berlin’s award winning musical

Rhinebeck, New York - Anything you can do, I can do better. Or, at least, Irving Berlin can.  Annie Get Your Gun has been a blockbuster for more than 50 years, and Irving Berlin's show still knocks 'em flat, bringing one successful revival after another to the Great White Way.

Now the CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck brings the latest Tony Award-winning revival version of this Broadway favorite to the Hudson Valley in twelve performances, January 25 – February 17.

The story of sharpshooter Annie Oakley falling in love with her rival, Frank Butler, is animated with non-stop hits: “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better,” “I Got the Sun in the Morning,” “They Say It's Wonderful,” “There's No Business Like Show Business” and many more.

The production stars Cate Olson as Annie Oakley and Dean Temple as Frank Butler.  The revival version features additional Irving Berlin songs performed by new characters - Tommy and Winnie, played by Michael Prezioso and Joycelyn Driscoll.  Russell Austin Jim Canning, Jennifer LaFalce, Kevin McCarthy and twenty other singers, dancers and children round out the cast, accompanied by a live orchestra.

The production is directed by Andy Weintraub and musically directed by Paul & JoAnne Schubert.  Choreography is by Leighann Kowalsky.

The show opens January 25th and runs to February 17th for only 4 weekends.  Fridays & Saturdays @ 8pm and Sundays @ 3pm.  For reservations, please call The CENTER’s box office at (845) 876-3080 or go online at www.centerforperformingarts.org.
Tickets: $26 for adults, $24 for seniors and children.

This is the first big musical show of the 2013 season, which also includes Spring Awakening in March, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in May, Pajama Game in June, Jekyll & Hyde in July and South Pacific in August.

The CENTER, a non-profit arts and education organization, is located at 661 Route 308, three miles east of the village center in Rhinebeck.
